Innovation has been at the heart of Envision Online since its very beginning.
2001 saw the creation of one of Ottawa’s first CMS systems for small businesses. In 2003, Envision joined the Top 25 Up and Comers Class recognized by the Branham Group. This put Envision in the ranks of other innovative Ottawa companies like Fuel Industries, Teknison and Momentous. For each of the past 11 years, we’ve been recognized for our Research and Innovation by the Federal Government’s SR&ED program. In 2010 we became a Certified Microsoft Partner. We’ve always kept growing, and the future looks even brighter!
We’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing mid-sized organizations across Canada and the United States, and are honoured to have worked on a Hot 100 E-Commerce website.
We’re looking for an innovative team player to join us and help make some great software. If you’re interested in what our team stands for, click here to read our core values.
Who You Are:
You can talk to clients as easily as to other programmers. Your passion is for code, but you have an entrepreneurial side as well, and you’re too wise to let anybody work you to burnout. You’re the go-to person when people are stuck, but you’re ready to spread your wings. You love sharing knowledge, but are maybe a little tired of spending most of your time answering questions. Most of all, you’re always ready to learn more and move forward.
Your New Life at Envision:
You’ll be creating software within ASP.net (3.5 and MVC) for custom web applications and e-commerce websites. Your colleagues will be a small team of dedicated professionals who really get the web. 90% of the time you’ll be working on projects for our customers, and 10% of the time you’ll be developing new products for our new apps/widgets division. You’ll be part of the entire building process, including idea generation, pricing and programming. Best of all, you’ll receive a generous share of the revenue from any of the new apps you work on.
Required Skills:
- Minimum three years professional programming experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or comparable college degree)
- Experience working with Agile metholodologies

- Experience with CSS2 and awareness of CSS3
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to act as a project lead
- Experience with unit testing with software like Nunit

Great to Know, but Not Essential:
- Experience with IIS and setting up websites on a Windows server
- Experience and familiarity with UML
- Experience with writing technical manuals or software tutorials
- PHP experience
What You Get:
- Performance bonus and revenue sharing opportunities
